Ladies Dogsledding Week in Norway

Enjoy the luxury of a women only – five days dogsledding tour in the wonderful mountains of mid-Norway.

If you love adventure, want to challenge yourself, learn new skills and meet new friends then this is the trip for you.

Wilderness life and some Comfort:

Want to take some days off from your busy family and job life, and join some fun days with dogsledding and outdoor life together with other women?
This tour is a combination of dogsledding experience, wilderness and primitive nature life, combined with the nice and comfortable life with nice meals at the mountain lodge nearby.
You start with two daytrips with dogsledding and overnights at the mountain lodge, before we set out for a sled dog tour with overnight in the cabin up on the mountain plateu. The last day we end the trip with a three dishes meal at the mountain logde, where you also will stay the last night.
This husky sledding week suits everybody that have a dream of a real wilderness adventure. The Level increases during the week, and Your sledding skills will increase day by day.

Dogsledding:

Ride the sled is exiting, and also a challenge, and all the time you have the beautiful landscape to view all around you. At the cabin you will be introduced to the feeling of the Norwegian style of outdoor life with all the practical tasks to do, and everyone have to give a hand to help, then its time to relax after an active day outside.  Candles, a good meal, a book or good talk to nice company. The cabin is settled in an old reindeer farming place so you will get to know a lot of Norwegian culture, and you will taste typical Norwegian food.  We might see tracks after wild animals, and if we are lucky maybe see an elk or some reindeer. Maybe also the northern light shows up. We end the tour new showered and good smelling, with a delicious three courses meal and good stories at the mountain lodge. Then you have your departure the next morning after breakfast.

It’s only available for 6 females.  Female guide will join you!
Included:5 days, 4 days dogsledding, overnight in cabin one night, overnight in mountain lodge 3 nights, all food provided.

The  kennel is located 3 kilometres from Kopperå Train station in Meråker and 60 kilometres from Trondheim Airport Værnes.

The easiest way to get there is to arrive at Trondheim Airport Værnes (TRD).If you arrive the night before you will need to book an overnight stay in Stjørdal. From there you can take the train the next morning from the Airport Train stationVærnes – or Stjørdal Train station to Kopperå Train station, estimated to take about 1 hour and 5 minutes. Arrival Kopperå station at 09 06 am.Be aware that the train goes one stop South towards Trondheim (Hell station) and from there you need to change train to a regional train towards Storlien/Meråker/Kopperå.
